How was Christmas Eve This Year?

Covid19 has marked our lives this year 2020. These past holidays, we have all been at home with limited amount of people and six feet apart from each other while in the same living room. This past Thursday 24th, Yamil and I decided to go big even if it was only the three of us, especially now that we recently moved to Seattle and we are 3,711 miles from our family in Puerto Rico. That evening we had a feast! We set our dining table with food served in every corner. We had Pumpkin stuffed ravioli, with roasted chicken, kale and cheese salad, and potato salad, yum! We even lit some candles, which later on I learned (out of the subject) that the candle symbolizes the holy illumination of the spirit of truth, so perfect scenario for Christmas. We had such fun this evening, it was magical. Adriana spent the night asking me to track Santa through the Norad website, which allows you to see via satellite where Santa is at the moment and what is his next destination, it even tells you how many gifts have been delivered, that was cool. After our feast we danced to Christmas music until it was bedtime. Before going to bed we set a Gingerbread Cookie on a table and a glass of milk, even though she wanted to leave coffee for Santa (which makes sense if you think about it). When we finally went to bed, we checked one more time on Santa's path and he was by Canada, "OK! now he is really close, let's go to to bed!" I said to Adriana. And there, we went to sleep thinking of the magic of a sled flying all over the world sharing gifts, love and peace for all. Hope you had a lovely Christmas Eve, leave a comment and tell me about it!

Happy Holidays!
