Puerto Rican Coquito (Traditional Christmas Drink)

During Christmas time, since I can remember from childhood, there is always Coquito at home. Keep in mind Christmas Season in Puerto Rico pretty much is from November 1st to January 14th ish. Yeah! the longest Christmas ever, therefore lots of Coquitos to enjoy and celebrate with! And so, one of the reasons this is my favorite time of the year is... yup you guessed it, COQUITO! I will list here all ingredients to this yummy drink for you to enjoy with others while the season last. 



 Ingredients:

     1 (12 oz) can evaporated milk

1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk

1 (13.5-ounce) can of coconut milk

2 cups (1 15 oz can) cream of coconut (like Coco Lopez)

1/8 tsp nutmeg

1 tablespoon vainilla essence
 
1 1/2 cup white Don Q rum

cinnamon sticks for garnish

Process: 

1. Using a blender, mix everything together.

2. Garnish with cinnamon sticks.

3. Chill this in the fridge for at least 2 hours or for up to 3 days. In our case, it lasts for one day. :)
