My husband and I are pretty adventurous and we dare to do things that not everyone does. Like this road trip, but this wasn't any usual road trip, this was more of exploring each state for a quick moment to see if we would fall in love with any specific place to stay for a while. The day was here, November 1st, or 11.1 (repetitive numbers and universe manifestation will be discussed later on). We had our Kia Soul full of bags, toys, and kitchen essentials, like my beloved coffee machine. We started our trip at 5:00am(ET) with a half asleep 4 years old, and another half asleep 33 years old (me). Our first stop to rest was in Pensacola, FL. This is when we realized our clocks went back one hour, we were a little lost about that, ha! We headed out next morning, and next rest stop was Mississippi, then we ended up at Louisiana afterwards. We stayed at a super nice hotel called The Horseshoe in Bossier City by the Red River. The room had floor to ceilings windows facing towards the river, it was beautiful.

Relaxing at Texas

Next stop was Texas! We headed to a city called Granbury to visit part of the family we have living there. That trip was about four to five hours duration. We were getting tired and we decided to not be on the road for more than this time. After driving non-stop for three days, Granbury, TX was so relaxing, especially where we stayed at, with family, part of home. We stayed here for few days, resting and just spending the time by sharing travel experiences and planning what was to come next. After two days said our goodbyes, and we headed to New Mexico. We drove nine to ten hours and we stopped at Albuquerque, and yup, another beauty. We fell in love with this place, with its mountains, its hills and its brown desert like views, such breathtaking sights. In Albuquerque we wanted to do

2.7-mi. aerial tram ride, with mountain views, to a peak with trails, skiing & dining but unfortunately the weather was not in our favor and due to winds it was closed during our stay (they refunded our money though). In NM we also visited Santa Fe, cute little town. I had read before that Santa Fe is one of the great destination cities of the world, I can now see why.

Up to here we have seen parts of Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas and New Mexico. Next post I'll show you and tell you about Utah, Idaho, Oregon and our final destination, Washington. For now, enjoy the pictures below taken by Yamil while he was in the back seat as I was driving through the mountains on our way to Utah.
